Neoziox I figured there were probably some habits I have from older versions of Evo that could/should be changed with Laravel.
I don't really understand your question that good. I guess it depends what your habits are. Which plugins are these?
Its always wise to update very old ones. Like eForm -> FormLister. Why? Same like the example Explorer -> Edge. Explorer works but no further development. But both work in EVO 1 and 3.
EVO 3 is made with an extra option to develop with Laravel in the hope more programmers would be attracted.
The core had to be changed for that and there where some hickups, but mainly everything should keep working.
There are new plugins which only can be installed in EVO3, and yes, need to be installed different.

I don't like the fact the new Extras (rather call them Add-ons) can't be installed with a simple button and need Console. Many sharedhosting don't allow to use it. So I don't know much about them. I use EVO 3 and still install my plugins on the Extras section in the manager.
Its not really clear, at least for me, where we are going to. EVO 1, EVO 3 or maybe EVO 4? Future will tell..
