No upload with SimpleGallery

I am trying to use SimpleGallery version 3.1.10.
I cannot upload any images.
The error messages can be seen in the attached images. The galleries folder is set up, but not the associated subfolders. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

I have tested further. No subfolders are created in the gallery folder. If I create the folder via FTP, the images are uploaded but no thumbs are displayed in the preview. The folder assets/.sgThumbs/ was not created during the installation of SimpleGallery and therefore cannot be used. SimpleGallery seems to have no access to the folder system. What can I do about this?

I save my thumbs in: assets/.thumbs/

Set under: SimpleGallery > Konfiguration: Thumbs cache folder

Hello,
Moving the galleries folder to the images folder works, but for the .sgThumbs, assigning a different folder does not work. The thumbs from SimpleGallery are not written there. Also with thumbs or .thumbs it doesn't work.
Do I have to change something in the htaccess so that SimplyGallery can access these folders?

Update DocLister.

Thanks to all.
I have now updated all the files in the Snipped folder of DocLister via FDP. Then SimpleGallery was no longer displayed in the resources in question. Then reinstalled SimpleGallery. Now it works.
