can't find the migration script under Modules/Extras

I have old websites of mine updated from 1.4.x(PHP 7.4) to 1.4.20(PHP 8.1.x)!

I have successfully (more or less) updated some of my pages (Provider PHP version 8.1.8*adjusted).

On other websites (other providers PHP version 8.1.9) I get warnings and errors with some plugins, snippets and system functions that I cannot solve. I'll report later!

Now I would like to update 1.4.20 to 3.1.12 but I can't find the migration script under Modules/Extras!

Can I also:
via updater plugin? (but how?)
via installer script?

I don't see the Migrate EVO 1 to 3 in Extras anymore. Not sure if it works in the newer versions without the migration script but you could try to update with Installer script.

Pathologic says, the migration script is not working with 3.1.12

Ah ok. I'll give it some time. I've been a little remiss with co-ordinating what it does so I can replicate it. My baseball season is coming to a close so I should get more time soon.

It's a module so it will run inside the manager. I highly recommend taking a backup of both files and database. Your original manager folder will be deleted during the upgrade to v3.

@Pathologic has already included it in the module extras!

Give me a shout if you get stuck. I'm still quite new to github and that is why there are a few releases done. I'm not the great with modules either but I'm hoping there is sufficient in the code to help.

@Pathologic the last release would be better to have in extras. There first release was a little flawed.

in my case everything worked! I was very relieved!

Thank you very much for your efforts and the time you have invested in the module, but also @Pathologic for his work...
Otherwise I would have had a big problem!

For your information:
But first I updated from 1.4.x to 1.4.20, and then installed via extras ""evo-migrate"".

I changed the DB collation to "utf8mb4_general_ci" by hand!
DB-Type is now a mixture of "MyISAM" and "InnoDB" but everything works!

The backend seems a bit slower to me, but whatever!
