How to revert the update?

Hi everyone,

I accidentally clicked the update button from EVO 2 to EVO 3. However, I just take this project from the customer and am not familiar at all with EVO.

Is there a way for me to quit the update and be back to the current/previous version?

I'm currently at this stage.

Rolling back is much easier if you have a backup of the database and site files.
I don't think anything would have been changed in the database from the stage you are at.

So, firstly. Backup your database and your site files.
Delete the install folder
Delete the views folder (came with v3)
Delete the core folder (came with v3)
Download the version of the site files you had. v2.0.4 was the latest IIRC.
Extract the contents to your web folder overwriting existing files

Try to access /manager or your web site. Things should be back to normal. If not, see 1.

core folder came with v2 too I think.

Graffx Design You are right, it did. You can ignore step 4 but you will be putting back the core folder from v2 download.
