Upgrade notice for Evo CMS 3.2.0 in Evo CE 3.1.17

I have some websites running on Evo CE 3.1.17 that were upgraded over the years from MODX over Evolution 1.x, 2.x to 3.x and then to Evo CE 3.x.
Today I got on both sites an upgrade notice to upgrade to 3.2.0. Checking this I realised that Dmitry updated EVO CMS to 3.2.0 and that the upgrade notice is for that and not for the actual install of Evo CE.
Now I would like to know, which file (from the old installation) is causing this wrong upgrade notice?
Which Evo (CMS or CE) is the more futureproof version?
I tend to stay with CE but would like to know if there would be a possibility to change (back) from CE 3.1.17 to Evo 3.? ?

The file responsible is plugin Updater.

If you change the plugin > tab Configuration > Version to: evocms-community/evolution
Then you get updated about EVO CE. Clear EVO cache might be needed.

If you ask me I would say EVO CE is more futureproof.
Dmytro isn't involved that much anymore unfortunately.
