Installation 3.2.5 error / SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied

Hi, I have a problem with a new installation of evo CMS 3.2.5 on the server. Despite providing the correct data on the last step of the installation, it shows me a login error

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user ''@'localhost' (using password: YES)

In step 1, it shows that the data is correct.

Does it have anything to do with the database host? I enter mysql8 because that is how the database was created.

Please advise.

Check the database permissions for the selected user, and then try again.

After contacting the hosting company, I received information that the installation script does not connect to the address given in the first step "mysql8" but tries with "localhost". How to fix this?

Maybe you can install EVO on an other server and then place that on the "new" server.
I think this is somekind of server setting issue.

Graffx Design Unfortunately I don't have such an option. It seems to me that it is the fault of the installation script because as I wrote, despite entering another host (mysql8) in the database, it tries to connect to localhost

Did you try manual upload? I really have no idea. I use my own VPS for 95% of my sites and have no issues. Maybe someone else can help. Or try your host again if they are blocking something or you need to use an other connection or something.

Host of my user was not localhost; it was a wildcard %. Changed that, then MySQL started refusing connections.

Maybe your password has specific characters. Unfortunately, it is impossible to say. You need to access the server to check what is the matter. You can use the console installation

Unfortunately, my client does not have access to the console, and the password consists only of numbers and letters, e.g. "kXuy4j8B".

The programmers from the hosting company will not attempt to repair the installation script, but they clearly indicate that it is the problem, because:

it keeps trying to connect to "localhost"
it does not store the user and password for the database, so in the last step there is no possibility of connecting

Of course, this is in the case of the MySQL 8 database. Until the end of January, when there was mySQL 5.7, I managed to install evo without problems.

I purchased support for the old version of MySQL 5.7 from my hosting provider and unfortunately the installation still does not proceed.

I always use, connection method: SET NAMES
Collation of the added database utf8mb4_general_ci (phpmyadmin and install script)
