Help. Novice migrate

I am a novice helper for my church website (https://www.stsconstantinehelenwi.org/) which is currently at version: ""Evolution CE 1.4.35""

Should I attempt to migrate this to version 3?
What's the best way to do that safely?

To do this safely you should at least make a copy and test.
