Has anyone else found that EvoSearch is slower to display search results than AjaxSearch?
EvoSearch is definitely a little slower in my testing. There is a noticeable delay before the search results display compared to AjaxSearch results which seem instantaneous.
I ran some tests as shown below and apart from Query Time, evoSearch is slower for me than AjaxSearch.
Interesting also that evoSearch has a plugin component and creates tables in the database. From my testing it seems like we'll need to regenerate results every now and then to reflect content removed from a page, and when the content from a new TV should be included.
DocLister, Ditto, DLMenu, Wayfinder, AjaxSearch et al are all incredible, dynamic snippets that instantly reflect content changes (and from my understanding didn't make changes to the database). Weird that evoSearch as a replacement snippet requires more manual intervention with the plugin than the snippet it was replacing.
